Cotoneaster Watereri Cornubia 10L

This vigorous semi evergreen plant is normally grown as a large shrub, but Cotoneaster watereri cornubia is also available as a standard tree. With a mature height of 6-8m, the branches are upright when young but are fast growing so soon become arching and graceful. It can be an excellent specimen or screening tree in a smaller garden.
Year round interest is provided by rich green pointed leaves, clusters of small creamy-white flowers in June and masses of bright red berries in autumn which the birds will love. This variety is noted as being the best Cotoneaster for fruit, with the largest and most abundant of the species Plant Size
- Mature Height: 4-8 metres
- Mature Spread: 4-8 metres

Why We Love It
- Drought resistant
- Low maintenance
- Season of Interest: Semi Evergreen
- Position: Full sun
- Soil: Well drained, moderately fertile.
- Cotoneaster plant care is easy when you plant it in a good location. They need full sun or partial shade, and thrive in fertile soils but tolerate any soil as long as it is well-drained.
- Cotoneaster shrubs only need watering during prolonged dry spells and do fine without regular fertilization, but shrubs that don't seem to be growing may benefit from a light dose of complete fertilizer.
- It's a good idea to apply a thick layer of mulch around ground cover types soon after planting to suppress weeds. It's difficult to weed around the low-growing plants once they begin to spread.
- Prune cotoneaster shrubs any time of year. Most types only need light pruning to remove wayward branches or to control disease. To keep the plants looking neat, cut out selected branches all the way to the base rather than shearing or shortening them
