Known as Baby’s Breath, Gypsophila elegans 'Rosea' produces a delicate froth of tiny pink single flowers on impossibly slender stems. The loose sprays of summer blooms have a light, airy habit that makes a superb ‘filler’ for the front of sunny borders. This florist’s favourite is an indispensable component of beautiful summer bouquets. An easy-to-grow hardy annual, Gypsophila elegans can be sown directly where it is to grow, positively thriving in less fertile but well-drained soils. The nectar-rich blooms are also prized by pollinating insects.
