Nymphaea Gladstoniana P11
Nymphaea Gladstoniana is probably the biggest of all lilies; it was bred for flower and overall size. Its leaves can be 50cm across and white flowers are the size of a baseball with prominent golden yellow centres. Only suitable for large ponds and lakes where it just looks perfect; it's generally a better choice for large ponds than Alba since it produces a lot more flowers.
What To Know
- Season of Interest: Summer-Autumn - Position: Full sun - Soil: Moist - Planting depth: In water from 90cm (36'') to 150cm (59") below water level.
How to Care
Water lilies flourish in still water, so best not plant them near a pond pump or fountain, particularly where the water can splash onto their leaves.
